1.本校新聘教師應具備一年以上與所任教領域相關且有助於教學之業界實務工作經驗。但技術及職業教育法施行(一零四年一月十六日)前已在職之技職校院專任合格教師且任教年資未中斷者，不在此限。業界實務工作經驗依技專校院專業科目或技術科目之教師業界實務工作經驗認定標準辦理採認。以專任職務為原則，並得以連續或累計方式採計，惟兼任職務年資折半採計。(應聘投件截止日追溯滿一年以上)

Newly recruited faculty members shall possess at least one year of industry practical experience related to their teaching field that contributes to their instructional effectiveness. However, full-time qualified teachers who were already employed at technical or vocational institutions prior to the implementation of the Technical and Vocational Education Act (January 16, 2015) and whose teaching seniority has remained uninterrupted are not subject to this Vivienne. The recognition of industry practical experience shall be processed in accordance with the Standards for Acknowledging Professional or Technical Subject Faculty’s Industry Practical Experience in Technical and Vocational Colleges and Universities. Such experience shall be based on full-time positions as a principle and may be calculated consecutively or cumulatively. However, seniority from part-time positions shall be calculated at half the actual duration. (The minimum requirement of one year must be met retrospectively as of the application deadline.)

The appointee is required to cooperate with the execution of administrative duties related to teaching, research, and service at both the University and Department levels.

1.Copies of Academic Credentials: Copies of degree certificates and transcripts for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs. For candidates whose highest degree was obtained abroad (graduates from Colleges of Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Science, or other technology-related fields are all eligible), please also attach copies of the following:
(1)Degree certificates and transcripts of all academic years authenticated by a Taiwan (R.O.C.) overseas representative office under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If the specific academic system does not require coursework and thus provides no transcript, please attach an official certificate of study issued by the institution, which must also be authenticated.
(2)Form for Survey of Study Abroad Periods for Teacher Qualification Review.
(3)Entry and exit records covering the periods before, during, and after the duration of study. (Please apply for these records at any office of the National Immigration Agency, Ministry of the Interior.)
(4)If the diploma or the overall transcript is issued in a language other than English, a Chinese translation must be provided.

Copies of various certificates: (e.g., Teacher’s Certificate, national examination certificates, proofs of industry service experience, Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL) certificates, and letters of appointment. Proofs of overseas employment must include a Chinese translation and be authenticated by a Taiwan (R.O.C.) overseas representative office.)

4.若受聘僱日前一年曾於國內機關任職者，須加附：離職證明文件、原聘僱許可函影本、上一年度之已納稅回條影本或納稅證明影本。
For those employed by domestic (R.O.C.) institutions within one year prior to the employment date, the following must also be attached: A certificate of resignation (discharge), a copy of the original employment permit letter, and a copy of the previous year’s tax payment receipt or tax certificate.

Cover pages, Chinese and English titles, and abstracts of Doctoral and Master’s dissertations.

The Department will conduct the review process in accordance with the "National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology Directions for the Appointment of Foreign Non-tenure-track Faculty Member Using the University Endowment Fund" and the "College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Guidelines for the Qualification Review of Newly Appointed Full-time (Project-based) Faculty at All Ranks" (as shown in Appendix 2). Please complete the "NKUST College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Qualification Checklist for Newly Appointed Full-time (Project-based) Faculty (Past 5 Years)" and attach supporting documents (as shown in Appendix 3).
