Faculty Position Opening at the Institute of Applied Acoustics,

National Taiwan Ocean University, Taiwan

Description of Position

The Institute of Applied Acoustics of National Taiwan Ocean University invites applications for one tenure track appointment at assistant, associate or full professor level. The appointments will commence on February 1st, 2024, or shortly thereafter.

Candidates must demonstrate the commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate engineering programs, in initiating research of innovative topics at the highest international level and in managing research team.

Qualifications Requirements

50. Applicants must hold a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Engineering or Science and are expected to have extensive experience as following fields mentioned in the section “areas of expertise”.
50. Applicants are capable of teaching in English
50. Applicants graduated from related area are preferred
50. Applicants must be able to mentor graduate students, complete interdisciplinary research, independently develop and accomplish academic and industrial research and publish scientific articles

Areas of Expertise

50. Electronic acoustics:

Courses need to teach: Fundamentals of acoustics or Electroacoustic Circuit Design, Microphone and Speaker Design or Spatial Audio Theory or AI speech recognition etc.
